On the third Saturday in August, First Avenue in downtown Ladysmith on Vancouver Island is lined with various makes and models of beautiful and treasured cars and motorcycles.
This year, the event will be held on Saturday, August 19th. It all starts at 10:00 am and wraps up at 3:00 pm. Registration begins at 8:00 am at the north end of First Avenue. Arrive early as we’re limited to 260 entries!
New Addition – Imports!
This year’s 14th Show ‘n Shine will have a new feature. We have permission from the Town to close a portion of High Street so that we can feature imports. We thought that this might be a different touch to the show. We will have British, Italian, German, and more in one location as sometimes these vehicles attract their own specific audience.
High Street also features the Fox and Hounds English Pub and the In The BeanTime Cafe, both of which will be having special features for both show participants and spectators.
Also along High Street you’ll have the opportunity of stopping into Mr. Popper’s Sweet Shoppe with it’s huge variety of old fashion candies and ice cream. Also Red’s Emporium full of great treasures from year’s gone by and gently “pre-loved” articles.
Pre-registration is $15.00 until August 9th then after that date, registration is $20.00 per vehicle entry.

The Ladysmith Lions will again be having their food trailer at the Show N Shine. Located next to the main stage, on High Street, the Lions will be serving their famous breakfast sandwich from 8 am to 11 am.
They will have their regular fare of hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks and other goodies.
Kinsmen Beer Garden
The local Kinsmen Club will be hosting a beer garden this year, located in the parking lot of Dunsmuir Square (Kitchener and First Avenues).
The Kinsmen will be quenching the thirst of adults as they tour the hundreds of impressive vehicles that will be featured along First Avenue, as well as High Street. All the proceeds from the Kinsmen’s Beer Garden go to projects that the club members do throughout the community.
